>>56560121>>56560299I think the whole Hans arc would have worked out 100 times better if instead of him not kissing Anna he did. Then it wouldn't break the curse:
"W-what I don't understand we kissed, we are supposed to be in love, and love in supposed to break the curse."
"well maybe, it because I don't really love you, more like, I loved your crown.."
Que Hans then giving a very similar speech to the one he gave in the movie, basically saying how he was just marrying her for the throne.
I think this works better, while still keeping the same message, because it is more consistent with his character. He is okay with helping people if it furthers his goals, he would kiss her because it helps him (she stays alive they get married) but it is perfectly fine with him if she dies.
The problem with the scene as is, is that he moves from a subtle morally grey bad guy who wants to have his own kingdom, to a mustache twirling, "I love it when a plan comes together", asshole who will do everything in his power to further his own goals.
He could have totally been that bad from the state, we just don't see it at all. Even after seeing the movie twice, there just aren't enough scenes with him to really even hint at how terrible he is.
